Gbridge

Securely do VNC, share files, sync folder and remote backup via Google based VPN, even behind NAT. Gbridge helps you to manage your multiple PCs, and collaborate works with close friends. You can also use it to privately exchange huge media files with your family. Gbridge has many unique features. The built-in VNC let your remote access your PC desktop or invite your friend to see your desktop for collaboration. You can drag&drop a folder to create a share and select which friend can access. Before syncing the folder, your friends can remotely browse the folder, see the auto-generated photo thumbnail/slideshow, play MP3 online. You can sync folders among your own PCs too. Setup a recurring local or remote backup of your important folder is just easy. All services are running on top of the VPN that is automatically formed among your multiple PCs no matter where they are. You can also extend the VPN to include your Gtalk friend's PCs if both sides allow. You have full control over what resources are available to your friend. Since Gbridge creates tunnel through NAT or firewall and connects PCs directly, it gives you maximum throughput and privacy.
Remote access doesn't get any simpler than GBridge. A free extension of Google's secure, VPN (Virtual Private Network)-based GTalk, GBridge is the must-have application for anybody who performs technical support, or requires access to their home or work PC remotely. Gain complete remote access to your PC from anywhere in the world without having to deal with the frustrating hassle of reconfiguring firewalls, third-party VPNs, routers, and NATs. Use industry-standard VNC to remotely control PCs. Transfer files, and synchronize entire directories. Listen to your music or see your pictures on your home PC from wherever you happen to be. Securely share files with your Gtalk friends. Fix the PCs of your far-flung clients, friends and relatives like you were sitting in front of them: you'll never have to walk a novice user through a complex, frustrating, time-consuming repair procedure over the phone again. Gbridge is remarkably simple to install, very easy to use, and does for free what several leading vendors charge hefty monthly fees for. Gbridge also supports Google Apps accounts.

USB Network Gate

USB Network Gate enforces widespread compatibility for USB devices across a network by intercepting USB port activity and redirecting it back to your host PC via TCP/IP. Any USB device configured for your PC will run on any networked PC, including removable drives, scanners, printers, keyboards, and specialized devices like test instruments.

Pros

Pro: USB Network Gate lets network admins and other IT pros configure devices once and use them on all networked PCs instead of scripting a systemwide fix or, worse, configuring them on each machine, one by one.
Flexible: We could display Devices or All Ports (including free ports) or show only shared devices.
Connection options: The Connect Devices menu can add servers, devices, and remote devices; connect with passwords and RDP Auto-connect; connect always or once; and disconnect all or individual devices.

Cons

Dull interface: USB Network Gate's plain list view groups devices by controller under tabs for local and shared network devices. It's a look only a network pro could love.
Pricey: Although it offers intriguing possibilities, USB Network Gate is a bit pricey for most home networks.

Bottom Line

USB Network Gate has the power to make life easier for network administrators or anyone who needs to access a variety of USB devices on networked PCs. While it's probably overkill for the typical home network, it could save real time (and money) in pro environments.
Editors' note: This is a review of the trial version of USB Network Gate 6.2.680.

OPrint

From Zero One Technology: Print from your iPad, iPhone, or iPod Touch to any printer without AirPrinter or another app. O'Print is a Windows utility that allows the Windows PC to be AirPrint-Compatible (also as an AirPrint Activator for Windows). You do not need to install apps or buy a new AirPrint printer. ANY existing printer can be connected to Airprint from an iPad, iPhone, or iPhone touch in addition to basic printing from Safari, Mail or Photo. O'Print lets you print to PDF and to your dropbox. There is no client limit and no shared printer limit. All iDevices and all printers can be utilized in O'Print. How Does O'Print work ? - First, O'Print gets all printers which are already installed on the Windows PC. - Next, the user will decide which printers they want to share for the appropriate iDevice by simply selecting it in the O'Print control panel. - Finally, O'Print will announce those shared printers (by Apple Bonjour) and display them on all iDevices which within the same LAN with the Windows PC. Then AirPrint from your iPad now. What is the benefit of O'Print? Compare three popular solutions for iPad / iPhone Printing - The simplest solution is to buy a new AirPrint-Compatible Printer, and install it on the same LAN as your iDevices. The AirPrinter also will announce itself via Apple Bonjour to the LAN. The benefit of this solution is simple and direct without a PC, but the disadvantage is that you have to buy a printer. Do you really want to change your existing printer, especially a high-level laser printer? - The second solution is an AirPrint App. Many Airprint Apps are free and allow easy printing to a general network printer. However, its disadvantage is that you must print from the AirPrint App, not the native print engine of iDevices. Therefore, you cannot print from most other apps. In addition, there may be some printer compatibility issues, such that that some printers may not be supported by the AirPrint App. - The third solution is by AirPrint Activator for Windows. Like O'Print, AirPrint Activator can activate all of your printers which are installed already on the PC to be AirPrint-capable so that all of your iPad, iPhone and iPod Touch devices can print directly to the shared printers in PC. Because the printing is accomplished by the native iDevice print engine, you can print from any other app. However, there is also a disadvantage in that you need to open a PC for sharing printers. This solution is more suitable for office print use.

What's new in this version:
1. Update for iOS 8. Correct picture printing (JPG format) would be saved in PDF while printing it to folder (dropbox). 2. Performance enhance: Disable a 5 seconds delay before printing. 3. Change default setting: Auto share when adding a new printer ( in Windows PC).
